Bolivian life

This place is so much different than back home. but i like it. things are simpler and everyone ride motos, which are a lot of fun to drive. i can see why they go cruising around the plaza on the weekends. it seems like fun to go in circles around the city on a moto. we've been discovering more and more about the culture here and how different it is from ours. Apparently three guys hanging out and geeting ice cream with some girls is kinda like going on a date. oops. learn by doing. although there are many social differences, i have really enjoyed this different culture. in general, people are very respectful of one another and i love their form of etiquete for greetings and visits. you always get the customary kiss on the cheek or handshake and families are often very hospitable and welcoming. i think i might just stay here. like anywhere else on earth, this city does have its downsides, but i have really liked being here and experiencing the less-rushed, friendly lifestyle. we have about two weeks left, lots of rain ahead, and a fair amount of work to do. im definitely looking forward to whatever the Lord has for us here. its been awsome so far. dont want to leave! -pat
